Where's the Criss that I knew...

February 23, 2008

Criss said so many times "fame changes a person, for the better and for the worse". He was incredibly right and prophetic in his words.

First I want to start out by saying I love Criss. I do enjoy his illusions and entertainment. I will always support his endevours-well most of them.

I was so wowed and amazed when I saw Criss for the first time on t.v. I was like "cool, it's about time that there is someone who's different". He took illusions to whole other levels and brought the fun back to it. Criss was always around his Loyals-his first priority. Everything was new and amazing-to us and to him. But things change when life changes.

I just don't think he is being who he truly is. I can't for the life of me believe he would rather spend all his at LAX, or other nightclubs, judging bakini contests, Ms. Nevada judging, or other premiere events. I just want to know what happened to the other Criss. The one who spent time with his Loyals, one on one, doing tricks. You know just spending time with them. He does go out and have pics with the Loyals, But most of the time that's when the Loyals catch up with him. Otherwise he is doing autograph signing;at least he does that.

He just seems too glitzy and glamory now. The very same thing he said he wouldn't like to be. I don't like the women he rubs elbows with because they are fake. They are not real women, half of their bodies are redone from silicon or saline. He used to make fun of the same kind of women he now hangs around with. Do you think the guys he hangs around with really care about Criss? They don't. They know it's a good photo op, good plublicity if they are around them. They are doing it for their own benefit not because they support him. His Loyals are who truly support him. We have been around with him when he had nothing and it just seems like he isn't around us much now that he has everything he wanted; as far as worldly items go.

The latest illusion he did was a controversial one. He didn't stay to show the Loyals he was okay-that is supposed to be a very intimate moment between Criss and his Loyals. Instead, he gave that responsiblity to his crew-BIG MISTAKE!

I just wish Criss would go back to the other Criss. Having everything he has, he can still be who he truly is. He said "to try to please everyone is the kiss of death". But I think he has been trying to please everyone but his Loyals and himself. Anyways, this is just my opinion. THis is what I just noticed over the past 2 years.

I had a dream about Criss. He was swinging on a swing and I was watching him from a distance with my dad. I said "oh dad, look, Criss is back to the way he was- his true self." Yes, it's wierd. I dream wierd dreams sometimes but I believe it shows how much I want the old Criss back.

I will still continue to watch him, support him, and try to get to the live show but at the same time praying for him to be who he truly is.

I wish I knew what we can do for Criss. He has done so much for us in the past that I really want to do something for him. But until I know, I will just pray for him and his family.

I'm dissapointed in myself for feeling this way because I should just simply love him and I do...he is my SOULMATE and I will spend the rest of my life loving him...all of him for who he is and that means excepting the parts that are not PERFECT as well...he is only human as we are....Just human!!!!! Your Loyal Sister...Lisa

I must say that I agree with you all in a way...but I ws at the New Orleans show in March as you know...and I haven't been back here much sense then because of the issues of that show... He shook hands with a few ppl yes...but there was NO eye contact...he was just going through motions with no emotion. The escape took him all of twenty mins. and that's gearing up & all...he was gone never to be seen that night again...nothing...we the LOYALS some of which drove hours to see him...meant NOTHING and that's how I feel...felt...Don't want to feel it any more!!!!

Wow! How well said. I think part of it is his manager. I think , pray & hope that he realizes that he would be even more famous if he just showed everyone what he has shown all of us through the years. Part is he is in pain & anguish over his personel life. Trust me you go through a good two years or so where you just aren't yourself then you balance back out. We will see him again soon!

You know, every day I pray to Father God to lead me and guide me. Today I was led here............His stardom is incredible, think about it, he has a whole new realm to deal with, I believe he is a down to earth person forever, he has just been a wee bit overwhelmed at his celebrity, seems like all celebrities have to strike a balance eventually. I see the little boy in him and love him no matter what. He is the boss of himself.

The $$, bling, cars, girls, the nightclubs all equal "deal with it." I am proud to be a Loyal, and know that realistically I may never meet Criss Angel. I have myself to blame for any hesitancy in my life, any judgements or ways of thinking about Stardom. Certainly I have become stronger from this whole MINDFREAK experience. Remember, "We are all made of stars." My own "Armor of God" has been stronger since knowing this celebrity Criss Angel, lol, jess

I miss the old Criss but the celebrity status raised the bar and its not as easy as it used to be to connect with his loyals. I can't judge him for his outings at the clubs because I understand the need to blow off steam. Its where he is comfortable. I support and respect him because I am a loyal, I love him unconditional because that is what he deserves. Your expression touches us because we have felt similar issues.

I understand what your saying here. I really do. I have had some misconceptions about the ongoing behavior at times but then again I am not drowning with constant responsibilities and solidifying my reputations as a world re noun artist. A beautiful girl whether fake or not or regardless of our personal opinions are usually just a passing fancy.

Unfortunatly, I AGREE with u ....I just never wanted to b the first to admit this... I really need to re-read this....I'm too depressed over Criss right now. I was at that illusion, where we were not told anything. I was also the 1st person to speak to Criss before the stunt. He looked in my eyes, with his hands in a prayer and PROMISED me he would see me after, meet me, & look at my tattoo....instead he crashed the car and reappeared at the UFC fight! I was truly heartbroken, worried, mad, confused etc...so many mixed feelings about the first time seeing my 'hero" in real-life! I love Criss and will support him no matter what he is feeling or going through!!! He is our baby!

Hey girl, I agree somewhat, although really Criss hasn't changed. He is just in it to the limit......I think I saw him say that he missed the days when he was struggling, but we are all struggling....I saw Cameron Diaz on the Oscars, she is beautiful and all that, but my Mom always said the whole Hollywood stardom life is highly overrated and not something to go for.....You are in my prayers, Ciao, jess
