Where's the Criss that I knew...
February 23, 2008Criss said so many times "fame changes a person, for the better and for the worse". He was incredibly right and prophetic in his words.
First I want to start out by saying I love Criss. I do enjoy his illusions and entertainment. I will always support his endevours-well most of them.
I was so wowed and amazed when I saw Criss for the first time on t.v. I was like "cool, it's about time that there is someone who's different". He took illusions to whole other levels and brought the fun back to it. Criss was always around his Loyals-his first priority. Everything was new and amazing-to us and to him. But things change when life changes.
I just don't think he is being who he truly is. I can't for the life of me believe he would rather spend all his at LAX, or other nightclubs, judging bakini contests, Ms. Nevada judging, or other premiere events. I just want to know what happened to the other Criss. The one who spent time with his Loyals, one on one, doing tricks. You know just spending time with them. He does go out and have pics with the Loyals, But most of the time that's when the Loyals catch up with him. Otherwise he is doing autograph signing;at least he does that.
He just seems too glitzy and glamory now. The very same thing he said he wouldn't like to be. I don't like the women he rubs elbows with because they are fake. They are not real women, half of their bodies are redone from silicon or saline. He used to make fun of the same kind of women he now hangs around with. Do you think the guys he hangs around with really care about Criss? They don't. They know it's a good photo op, good plublicity if they are around them. They are doing it for their own benefit not because they support him. His Loyals are who truly support him. We have been around with him when he had nothing and it just seems like he isn't around us much now that he has everything he wanted; as far as worldly items go.
The latest illusion he did was a controversial one. He didn't stay to show the Loyals he was okay-that is supposed to be a very intimate moment between Criss and his Loyals. Instead, he gave that responsiblity to his crew-BIG MISTAKE!
I just wish Criss would go back to the other Criss. Having everything he has, he can still be who he truly is. He said "to try to please everyone is the kiss of death". But I think he has been trying to please everyone but his Loyals and himself. Anyways, this is just my opinion. THis is what I just noticed over the past 2 years.
I had a dream about Criss. He was swinging on a swing and I was watching him from a distance with my dad. I said "oh dad, look, Criss is back to the way he was- his true self." Yes, it's wierd. I dream wierd dreams sometimes but I believe it shows how much I want the old Criss back.
I will still continue to watch him, support him, and try to get to the live show but at the same time praying for him to be who he truly is.
I wish I knew what we can do for Criss. He has done so much for us in the past that I really want to do something for him. But until I know, I will just pray for him and his family.
